Religious School News – March/April 2019

With only a few months left to our Religious School studies for the year, we are moving forward through The Mystery of the Coins. We’ve learned about Jewish history through the years and around the world. Coupled with visiting a country through these charming characters, we have completed art projects and cooked foods of the area. We’ve made pita bread, hummus, and date cookies from the Middle East, honey sesame cookies from Rome, and Dabo (Shabbat Bread), popcorn with Berbere spice, and teff peanut butter cookies all from Ethiopia (to name just a few) and enjoyed the work of our hands for snack. Soon we will begin our capstone project based on our reading. More to come…..! We look forward to the culmination of our yearlong tutoring of two of our older students at their Bat  Mitzvah celebrations this Spring!
