IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM YOUR ADULT EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Thank you to all who have attended our recent adult education events! We are delighted with the wonderful turnout and the very positive feedback we have received. We are planning many more worthwhile programs in the coming months.
As excited as we always are to see you, we must insist upon every attendee registering in advance of an adult ed event, rather than just showing up.
Here are the important reasons why we require registration:
- We need to know who is registered so that we can notify everyone if there is an unforeseen cancellation, or if the event is switched to a Zoom-only event. When you register, please select whether you will be attending in-person or by Zoom.
- Registration numbers allow us to plan for adequate refreshments.
- Speakers need to know how many are attending, since they may be preparing hand-out materials.
- If there are too few in-person registrants, we may cancel and/or reschedule the event. We pay for security at all events at the Temple. A handful of registrants does not warrant the security expense.
- Similarly, if you register to attend in-person, please do not switch to on-line attendance at the last moment. Again, if only a few in-person registrants actually show up, it is not worth the cost of security, not to mention a speaker’s time and travel to Laconia.
- If you need to cancel your registration, please do so at the earliest opportunity by emailing us at: adult-ed@tbinh.org.
