The 29th Annual TBI New Hampshire Jewish Food Festival is now in the record books.
Once again, it was an outstanding success and we sincerely thank all who support
Festival by purchasing some very, very delicious food.

The impressive results do not happen without thousands of hours of effort by an entire
team of dedicated volunteers. One cannot make, market, process orders for, and
distribute in two days over 1000 blintzes,1000 knishes,750 potato latkes,100 quarts of
matzoh ball soup, and over 175 pounds of rugelach without strong leadership and
hardworking volunteers. Special thanks to the leadership team, chaired by Stu
Needleman, without whom the Festival would not be a success:

• Sue Needleman led the food preparation teams and all things related to food-
  recipes, menus, and processes.
• Barbara Katz, Eytan Wulfsohn, and Steve Sherry provided all the systems
  support from on-line ordering to picking and distribution tools and information.
• Karen and Joe Lukeman have been responsible for all customer interaction
  from the days of sit-down meals under the tents to today’s online pick-up and
  distribution processes. The distribution team handled up to 40 customers per
  hour to pick-up their orders.

Not only did this team provided leadership in 2026, but most of them have been doing this for more than a decade.

There are dozens more that have contributed to the success of the Festival and like the
leadership team have participated for many years. Especially of note are Cooking Team
captains: Leslie Aronson, Lois Kessin, Heather Needleman, Judi Rogato, Paula
Chambers, and Judy Crosley.

The entire team deserves a giant thank you.

In addition to raising significant funds for temple operations, the Food Festival builds a
sense of camaraderie and community among all the volunteers. The hours spent
preparing food, picking items, and delivering orders provide opportunities for many
members, who may not really know each other, a chance to learn about one another.
That strengthening bond amongst the members is one of the foundations that allows
Temple B’nai Israel to continue to prosper. In turn, the temple provides for the
community through We Care concerts, and other social action initiatives.
