As the menorahs flickered to life in the hands of TBI members and attendees, gentle melodies of Hanukkah tunes filled the room, setting an atmosphere of warmth and joy. This luminous ritual not only brightened the room but also illuminated the shared spirit of perseverance and hope intrinsic to the festival.
Adding a spark of friendly competition, Holiday Committee Programming Chair Debbi Finkelstein hosted an engaging trivia contest, rewarding correct answers with delicious chocolate gelt. Meanwhile, the culinary delights curated by Food Chairs Leslie Aronson and Linda Green-Darish truly elevated the celebration. Beyond the quintessential latkes and delicious chicken, the feast featured a vibrant salad alongside a tempting array of desserts: rich chocolate challah, flaky baklava, velvety chocolate babka, light donut holes (sufganiyot), decadent brownies, cookies, and popcorn coated in both white and dark chocolate with crunchy peanuts.
