Annual Community Holocaust Remembrance Program Coincided with the startof the observance of Yom Hashoah Thursday, April 24, 2025
Temple B’nai Israel, Laconia Congregational Church, and The Unitarian Universalist Society of Laconia, in partnership with the Laconia Human Relations Committee and the Endowment for Health, presented a powerful Community Holocaust Remembrance Program. The evening featured a moving staged reading of Janet Langhart Cohen’s one-act play, Anne & Emmett, skillfully directed by TBI’s Debbi Finkelstein. The incredible cast brought to life an imagined conversation between Anne Frank, her father Otto, Emmett Till, his mother Mamie, and Till’s murderer, alongside a narrator. This standing-room-only event, preceded by a warm soup buffet and community fellowship, was a resounding success. Bravo to all involved!
