Matzo Ball Soup (1 quart, frozen)

A rich homemade  soup made with chicken, carrots, celery, parsnips, and onions.   Matzo balls, made from matzo meal (crushed unleavened bread), eggs, chicken fat, and broth, are added to the finished soup and soak up all the delicious flavor.  Legend says this soup can cure the common cold and the not so common cold.  Serves 2.

Thaw soup with matzah ball and pour into a small covered pan. Gently heat the soup and matzah ball in the pan on the stovetop. Do NOT boil. The soup contains carrots, celery, onion, parsnips and pieces of chicken. Heat until the matzah ball is thoroughly heated through and warm in the middle. Add salt and pepper to taste.
