The installation of Rabbi Jan Katz took place on Saturday, June 10th during the Shabbat morning service.  The sanctuary was filled with TBI members, special guests from the Lakes Region as well as family and friends of Rabbi Katz from Rochester, NY, and Toronto.

The congregation was treated to a unique Shabbat service as Rabbi Noam Katz, son of Rabbis Jan and Alan, led the congregation in his repertoire of melodies set to the traditional Shabbat liturgy.  The congregation enthusiastically responded to the new tunes as they sang along with joy.

The installation began with the traditional passing of the Torah from current president Ira Keltz to past presidents Marsha Ostroff-Rines and Joel Funk who placed the Torah into the arms of Rabbi Jan Katz, beaming with pride.
